Defo not my music genre.... I was scanning YouTube when I came across a song I have not heard in decades! This takes me back to my childhood. Stunning song.

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I caught the Psychedelic Furs play live here in Berlin a week ago. I had last seen them play live back in Hull (UK) when I was still at school back in - wait for it - November 1979, a full 46 years ago! The core of the band, brothers Richard Butler (singer) and Tim (bassist), are originally from the UK but decamped to the US in the 80's where they were most successful in that decade, probably best known by their hit single "Pretty in Pink" which featured in the soundtrack of the film of the same name.
So it was quite an exercise in nostalgia to see them again, but the good news is that they were really on form and delivered an excellent, if rather short set (80 minutes). I had decided to check out their more recent material and am glad to say that it's pretty strong, so the exercise was worth it in the end.
Here FWIW is their 1984 hit "Heaven", which they played this time. Great stuff!
Also here's "Pretty in Pink" from back in the day when they had big hair!!!

Re: What are you listening to right now?
As well as the Psychedelic Furs, I've been revisiting the back catalogue of XTC, who I never saw live, unfortunately - they finally split in 2006, but lead singer/guitarist Andy Partridge is still active.
So much good stuff to enjoy, particularly albums such as Skylarking (1986) or English Settlement (1982)
People mostly remember this which was a big hit back in the day...
