That reminds me, read a story once about a senior home that put in a fake bus stop at the facility for the dementia patients who wanted to go home. They could go sit at the bus stop and wait for their bus while being under surveillance.

We had lovely elderly widow living opposite us for over 20 years. 3/4 bed semi, nice garden. London house prices and UK inheritance tax prompted her only son the suggest she sign it over to him, to try and avoid the latter. He promptly sold it and put her in a tiny, tiny OAP bedsit down the road. She used to come by regularly and weep outside. Flummoxed is possibly not the word I am looking for. She was not remotely senile.

This leads me to recomment a clay animation short film called Harvie Krumpet, it is just lovely. Well spend 23 minutes, I am confident you will enjoy.

A fake bus stop at a senior citizen home is shown and explained at 16:51. Resists the urge to jump to 16:51, this movie is worth watching completely.

On a more serious note, there is a wiki article about those fake bus stops in Germany on the German wikipedia, but it is not available in English. The strange thing is that this article claims those fake bus stops to be a German invention from 2006, but the aforementioned Australian short film from 2003 already mentioned them a few years before.

This was a great recommendation, thank you - I watched it shortly after you posted it and it was fabulous.

This appears to be a genuine advertisement from 1968.

I must admit that, in retrospect, the spelling of syphilis and prostitution is somewhat reminiscent of Shakespeare.

So there I was , just behind the tram drivers cabin. He has his smart phone on his lap and everytime the tram stopped for a while e.g. traffic lights, he checked his smart phone. To be fair , he did not use it while driving, but I still found it unsettling. The Terminus was just a few stops away. There he could have checked his smart phone as he would have a few minutes rest before the return journey. But he could not wait.
I was about to dismisss this as just another minor irritant when I remembered the fatal train crash at Bad Aibling some years ago.The investigation found that the dispatcher gave incorrect information to the 2 drivers because he was distracted by a game he was playing on his phone. How irresponsible and I am glad
he went to jail.

Himself reported his Flix bus driver for texting on his phone while driving. No idea if he was fired or not.

If the farm is good: no problem. But this...

Fry-cured, smoked, frozen and thawed.
Not even cut in slices?

Good farms are getting fewer and fewer. Norway used to be good. No more. I stopped buying salmon about a year ago. Used to grill a piece weekly.

My point was that at least 1/3rd of the packet is just empty.

Try https://fischkurt.de/ - not cheap ( and even more expensive this time of year), but excellent quality.
The site is under maintenance, but the important infos (address, phone, email, opening hours) are there.

I suspect (cannot prove it) that 200g used to fit into that packaging.

Yup, that's how it feels, certainly - packaging looks similar, but a lot more empty space.
