Flashback in time...
Ikea has placed all of their catalogues from the past online... Interesting to see how furnishing changed over time...

Just spotted our former white "Trumpet" kitchen lamp in 1977 catalogue.
It was still working after nearly 50 years, the white paint had just become a bit more cream-coloured.

This is cuter than the "will be given an energy drink and taught how to swear" variant.

Whilst I’m away from home, I went with kiddo to sort some domestics in her friend’s flat whilst he’s away. I was curious in a super minimalist flat, if there’s a meaning to one simple photo he has framed. Yes, I’m being very nerdy in an attempt to think of anything other than the ‘elephant in the room’ just now! Oddly, as we entered the flat, this photo fell on the floor….
I absolutely smiled at the translation of the chap’s chest tattoo…
"Tutto passa" is an Italian phrase that means "everything passes" or "this too shall pass". It's a philosophical reminder that all things in life, both good and bad, are temporary, encouraging resilience during difficult times and appreciation for the present moment.
I love how appropriate it is to me just now and should always be. I won’t be getting the same tat though

When your son asks why school is important, show him this picture:
When your daughter asks why school is important, show her the very same picture...

On logging out from our Sparkassen account the usual self-advertissment appears - here is a snapshot:
SInce most of the card the young lady is holding dissapears into the red background it would appear at first glance that she is joyfully holding a pregnancy test.
Independently my wife thought exactly the same.
