Alternative to Wellplatten is Gitterefolien, costs ca 3eur/qm, so ca one fifth.
Probably not as resistant but for such large price difference worth a try.

My "lawn" ha, has some tenacious weeds. Not a weed hater at all, I love clover, daisies, buttercups usw. But am looking for a tool that is good for getting rid of some deep rooted, spready, annoying ugly ones. Any recommendations? Ta. It will need to be tough!

I was doing some wedding a couple of months ago.

I just used a small faulk, the trick is ti get the roots out of the ground as much as possible, as the weeds will always come back if you do not remove the roots.

I used the small faulk to loosen the ground around the weed, then kinda pulled at the weed, to get the whole weed out of the lose soil including the roots.

We use a thing similar to what Franklan has posted - we had a lovely cast iron one, but the stick broke and now we have a modern one - they do a good job because they target a tight spot.

The spiral one is kinda cool.

My garden is small. From the house it looks ok, but from outside from the path at the back, not so, some of the "weeds" are taking over. Will reseed with microclover and daisies. Tempted by chamomile but requires a bit of preparation. Elder, willow and hazel need chopping back too, but that can wait a bit.

Last week I finally mowed the lawn for the first time this year -amazing how much bigger the garden looks now!
We also want to trim the bushes and small trees that have started growing all by themselves back a bit, and finally get all the trees we have growing in pots out into the woods...... Lots to do, but the "wild" look is the best for us at the mo !

Actually I smile most evenings when I go to bed, as I have a book on my bedside table called "Re-wilding your Garden", which a friend gave me last Christmas. If only she could see the place!
