Jim Lovell, commander of the ill fated Apollo 13 mission, dies at age 97.

Also crew member of Apollo 8.
I well remember the TV broadcasts over Christmas 1968. We did not own a TV at that time but back then grandmother & 2 aunts used to come on Christmas Eve to stay in our house for a few days & they would bring their (monochrome) TV with them.
