Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
I also have problems with the app. I would appreciate knowing the cost of a ticket from Passau HBF to München HBF on June 22nd. I get 29€, which means a RT ticket just hits the 58€ DE ticket price. Before pulling the trigger for the DE ticket I would like to be sure the 29€ is correct.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Considering the fact that the DE ticket also covers the bus in Passau, the U-Bahn and S-Bahn in Munich and will be valid for other tickets from today till the end of the month (if you book it today), I would go for the DE ticket.
In addition, these RT tickets (once booked) cannot be returned/reimbursed or changed to another date, they do not give you the flexibility to - for example - stay a day longer.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Thx for your thoughtful input. I realize there are other uses which I may or may not need and the virtue of the flexibility. I just don’t necessarily trust the 29€ figure since the app tells me it costs 27€ to go from Konstanz to Singen, which it doesn’t. Hence for that route I just research the schedule in the app and end up buying the ticket here at the machine at the Hauptbahnhof. I wish I could trust the app, as I trust the SBB app.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Since the DE ticket is recurring and you have to cancel on the 10th or earlier to avoid paying for the next month, if you buy one now, you are stuck with it for July as well, even if you cancel right away.bethannbitt wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 12:31 pm I also have problems with the app. I would appreciate knowing the cost of a ticket from Passau HBF to München HBF on June 22nd. Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Just get the Deutschlandticket for June from Mo.pla, where you can then cancel the subscription by June 29th, i.e. will not have to also pay for July: https://en.mopla.solutions/en/tickets/deutschlandticket
- You can cancel your Deutschlandticket on a monthly basis. To do this, go to your profile settings in the mo.pla app or WebApp and click on the menu item "Deutschlandticket". There you can pause or cancel your ticket.
You can also use the pause function in the mo.pla app to pause for up to 3 months at no extra cost. This saves you the hassle of canceling and having to go through the purchase process again if you change your mind. Please note that pausing or canceling your Deutschlandticket subscription must be received at least 24 hours before the end of the month.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Thx for that.
. I had seen the Ticket+ app, but they don't allow the pause function in month 1 like this app. So, I did just set up the mo.pla app for June 2025 and am good to go. I can use the DE Ticket this coming Tuesday on a RT Konstanz-Singen trip and for my RT from Passau-München commencing on the 22nd, all adding up to more than 58€.
We will be in Windpassing-Hauzenberg with our Armenian-Germericans starting on the 21st. And I can even take the bus from there (middle of nowhere
) to Passau if I like, instead of using Opa's Taxi Service to get to and from Passau!
A new adventure begins!

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Ouch, I was missing the fact that the DT must be canceled by the 10th of the previous month.
My wife bought the June DT ticket on 14.6 for a family trip, and now we're stuck with July too.
This very German way that everything is subscription based, and on purposely difficult to cancel, is extremely annoying.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Well, absolutely!
We have been carefully obeying the 'buy it and cancel it before the 10th' since the start.
This is a game changer. Thanks to Panda.
And thanks to Bethann for her report - always good to see a follow-up.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
Talk about mistakes, I know someone who bought D Ticket for a 20 year old at full price via DB, not realising BW offers a discount. Many states do, some more generous than others. Hamburg is generous, 19 for schoolkids, 34.80 until 21 (until 27 if you can prove you are studying). LIve and learn.
Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
HH sells ay lower price only if you buy at least 4 months.snowingagain wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 6:02 pm Talk about mistakes, I know someone who bought D Ticket for a 20 year old at full price via DB, not realising BW offers a discount. Sorry Alberto for my (typical) drifting off topic. Hamburg also offers their school children a D Karte for free? So, I guess the cancellation thing not so important. I am mentioning this as some people I know did not know about discounts, etc.

Re: Getting a Deutschlandticket just for one month
I took a beautiful hour long walk up and down, in the middle of nowhere, from our Bauernhof to a bus stop, and I rode to Passau to visit a bookstore. Now I’m coming back on a different bus that stops directly at the Bauernhof, in Windpassing, Hauzenberg, upon request.
One sees things from a different perspective on the bus and one mingles with the locals and learns things. Thx for your suggestion.
