Tax Residency

Hello everyone,

I would like to clarify my tax residency status. I was officially employed and living in Germany for 5 months, before joining an international organisation (IO). Working for such an organisation entails keeping the tax residency that I had before I started being employed for the IO.

My question is, was I already a tax resident of Germany then? I did do the anmeldung when I first arrived (again, 5 months), but my understanding is that I become a tax resident after 182 days here (6 months).
While I am looking for a steuerberater near Köln I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers here,

Yes.
