Well, look here:

I have an Indian restaurant in mind, Garam Masala, which is only a 4 minute walk from the train station at Marienplatz. Should the weather be optimal, we can change to an outdoor venue. I'm thinking a late lunch around 14:00 or so.

Is our meeting time for the April 27th gathering still about 2 pm? I am nearly 4 hours away by car or FlixBus and wanna finalize my transportation and possible overnight plan ASAP.

Yes. I'm thinking about changing the venue to Augustiner Keller so we can sit outside.

Parking in Munich?? Surely you jest.

Seriously, I don't know. It is very close to the Hauptbahnhof. There are a lot of side streets but I don't know if it is Anwhohner only parking or not. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Looking at Google maps https://www.google.com/maps/search/Muni ... FQAw%3D%3D

It says the augustinerkeller has its own parking !!!! I would ring them to see if you can book a spot or find out how much it costs to park there

Parking at the ZOB ( near by ), looks expensive!!!!, depends if it matters to you

Looks like you can street park for 4 hours hours for free here

There does look to be street parking near by, but you need to buy a parking ticket to put on your windscreen.

If the cost matters to you, and not the convenience, then parking far away, near an U-bahn station costs almost nothing, but 2 stripes there and 2 back. Like my local U-bahn stop, Michaelibad, lots of free street parking, take the U5, direct to the HBF ( about 10 mins ) and it runs every 5 mins, then take the tram or walk ( about 7 mins ) to the augustinerkeller.

End chime

Due to a major player not being able to attend this Sunday, this event is postponed until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding.
