After months of not even seeing a plumber or electrician in the house we are renovating, finally we had both of them in the house at the same time today!!!
We now have a light in the bedroom, in the kitchen and in the loft!!!
And in the bathroom we now have a handwash-basin, with hot and cold running water, and a new loo!!!!!

Feels like it´s an early Christmas present!!!

My car passed its MOT with just minor work (rear shocks and battery cover and heat shield had to be attached properly), very happy as it is old

What you failed to mention is that the water is coming out of the light fittings & the loo is lit up like the midday Sun

Today I'm happy because I went to the Psychotherapy (not sure if the KK will actually pay, will see...)
And next I swam a mile.
And tonight pizza with my colleagues. I expect nothing great for the pizza, but I'm mega lucky in having great colleagues and hanging out with them is always good, and better with drinks.

Update:
no pizza I'm afraid. I cycled towards the place, under the rain, using Google navigation on my phone. Worked well until the Akku of my smartphone got flat. I knew I was probably within 1km, yet had no clue how to continue. So I never got there. Miracolosly managed to get back home. Stupid me as I could have easily departed with a fully charged smartphone which have lasted the whole way and more. Plan better next time.
Well, it's almost Friday...

I'm happy because last night, 22nd, we celebrated our early Xmas. Early because today, our teen was flying to spend time with my sis at hers. She cooked for us and food was fantastic

EZ Christmas! Just Oma, Opa, and our 8 year old Armenian-Germerican granddaughter. Bought a lovely small tree and made homemade ornaments with paper and twine and watched the 1966 how the Grinch Stole Christmas cartoon. Mrs. Claus left a game, a puzzle, and a Lego toy for us. She wasn't stressed. Grateful for the simplicity and togetherness.

Finally had the appointment for teeth extraction at the dentist today. All trouble makers are gone now.

This was three hours ago, jaw hurts a little bit, the local anaesthetic is slowly going away, but I think I can manage without additional pain killers...

And I quit smoking on 1.1.2025...

One of our old lady cats has always been super loudly vocal. Now she’s very persistent. Vet says she’s just bored now she doesn’t want to go outdoors anymore and doesn’t play with cat toys. I’m very happy to have found ‘Cat TV’ videos on YouTube. She’s mesmerised for hours. My husband thinks I’ve now finally lost any marbles I had left 😂

No, it is me who lost any marbles I had left, because I actually looked at Youtube if this really exists.

Yes, it does... No kidding, 8 hours straight cat entertainment:

(The comment section about "The telly *must* be bolted to the wall not free standing" implies that some household accidents must have happened...)

We humans are now in minus marble range….cats all wandered off, worn out from Cat TV excitement. We however kept it on in the background. The sounds of wildlife is very calming 😂😊

I’m happy, because today I received the keys of my new apartment in Nympfenburg-Neuhausen, Munich. I had to leave my current one in Westend due to Eigenbedarf. I lived there almost 20 years. Time for some change.

After I started applying for a new apartment, I received an acceptance of the landlord after one week already. Later, I received a second acceptance for an apartment in Pasing, but I chose Neuhausen. Sometimes, things can go very quick in Munich :).
