Recently watched:

Curb Your Enthusiasm 12 (Series) - Not quite hitting the highs of previous seasons but with with some gold moments (the golf/coyote/puppy/Susie scene) - 8/10

The Gentlemen (Series) - Started off ok but the end was rushed and poor. - 5/10
Argylle (Film) - Pretty much nonsense from start to finish - 3/10
Mr. Inbetween (Series)- Fantastic from the start, right to the very last scene (Run!). - 9.5/10
The Beekeeper (Film) - Typical Jason Statham fare, easy on the brain. - 5/10
Death and Other Details (Series) - Not bad, (clearly a spoof) but the end really pissed me off. - 5/10
Slow Horses 3 (Series) - Excellent again, especially Gary Oldman as the disgusting Jackson Lamb - 9/10
The Bear (Series) - Very good, although I probably enjoyed series 1 more than 2 - 7.5/10
Beef (Series) - Very good - 7/10
Obliterated (Series) - Spoof action/comedy. Don't watch it with your kids. - 6.5/10
When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

Just watched Baby Reindeer on Netflix. True story, great acting. Loved the ‘dad’ character. We thought it quite disturbing.

Ripley, on Netflix, absolutely brilliant re-working of the Patricia Highsmith novels. Genuinely funny too!

Yes, I watched The Talented Mr Ripley 1999 film last week and have just finished watching the new 2024 Netflix series. Both very, very different presentations and fine acting in both. I want to reread the book which I read many moons ago.

I am currently watching dark clouds scudding across the sky, with the occasional blitz of lightning, and accompanied by regular rolls of thunder.
Glad to be indoors looking out!

I am doing the same, counting the seconds between "Lightning" and "Thunder". Currently 6 seconds. Old rule of thumb is "3 seconds = sligthly more than 1km".

What about https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054189/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 - "Plein soleil"?

Just finished the 2nd / newly released series of
The Diplomat on Netflix

Well worth it!

And a terrific and unexpected cliff hanger at the very end (no spoiler from me)
