The wrong apostrophe in "He know's" hurts the most...

Well, it certainly makes me smile to think of what Joe Von Battle, born in 1915 in Macon, GA, and Sammy Bryant, born in 1914 in Greenwood, MS, were each up against and what they accomplished.
Pretty amazing folks.

An old guy like me frowns and asks himself "How many f*cking times does the poor soul of car mechanic has to flush that cooling system to get the bl**dy motor oil out of it..."

Re: What made you smile today? :)
I have a strange fondness for these, "Dear Sir, You've been granted USD 500m" emails. Today's was from "500m MEGA WINNER" Mr Richard Wahl, who told me:
"Reply with the CODE [TRNS00009] to this email: bankofamerica@internationalbangroup.com. They will process the delivery. You just need to follow their instructions to help you receive it.Because I traveled to Poland for a two-month vacation."
I love that after winning such a life changing sum, he has decided to go on a two month holiday....to Poland. Now I happen to quite like Poland, and have had some fun trips there, but (perhaps just because a trip to Poland is so readily achievable) it is rarely on anyone's dream list of destinations. It's hard not to jump to the cliched, "second prize was a 4 month trip to Poland".

Re: What made you smile today? :)
Just found this on facebook:
"It cost me over 500 euros in additional water payments, it even made it onto Antenne Bayern radio
"
"That was my Lilly, unfortunately she is no longer alive
, Lilly loved to flush the toilet for hours.
By the time I realized it, I was over 500 euros poorer in back water payments. I was in hospital for a long time and then had to go to rehab. In the meantime, a friend was looking after Lilly and my other cat.
Then I got the utility bill, had to pay over 700 euros just for water, then said to my landlady that it can't be right to have used so much water for one person. All the water meters were checked and everything was correct.
One night I woke up and the toilet was flushing, I thought I was dreaming. The next day the same thing happened again, I lay in wait and caught her.
She always put her ear to the flush, as soon as it stopped hissing, she pressed the flush again and again, all day long.
She must have done this for 12 weeks when I wasn't at home, so I realized why I needed so much water.
When I moved house, the first thing she did was try to push the flush again, this time she didn't have the strength because the cistern in the new apartment is built into the wall
Somehow I couldn't even be angry with her about the high water costs
"
