I tend to find everything pretty easily where I left it. Then again I don't have a wife that puts things away in strange places ;)

It's almost a daily event in my house. He's a bit past middle-aged, though. I pre-face everything with, "Put your glasses on and........"

😃 Not even really strange places. Just always the same 2 small drawers for miscellaneous stuff. Keys can’t be found on a plain white hall table 🙄😊

My husband is also now over middle age. Before he engages eyes and brain, it’s always….’where have YOU put’ this or that! Way too much huffing and puffing! My nerves are frayed for sure 🙄😊

I never have to ask my wife where something is, but we surely have a different situation than most couples.

After being on the road for 20 years, and only home on weekends, I "moved back in" in 2017, but only sort of. I still have my stuff and "they" have theirs. All of my stuff is either in my office or my bedroom (we are not even remotely separated, but have separate rooms). I still wash my clothes and take care of my two areas. We just got so used to having separate stuff and separate rooms for so many years.

That doesn't mean I don't help out with the other areas, but "help out" is admittedly the appropriate word.

Trust me, you're not in a special situation. Every lady expects a man to take care of the two areas.

Same problem here. If it is not visible on the surface at first glance, it's not there.

Mine was an actual detective for 8 years

My ex's son justified something he created not working properly with "pre-installed with windows"

I exploded:

"pre-installed with windows" Never use such foul language in my presence again
What about MacOS and Linux?

OK, I knew there are many construction sites in Munich, but not this many:

I'm not really a beer drinker, more of a slosh of wine now and again.

Went to the bar in Eckernförde yesterday after a lovely sailing day and a refreshing beer was high on my list

Now I'm used to beer going in the big hole at the top of the glass...and that there isn't any other way.

So I was seriously flummoxed to find the barman clicking the base of the upright beer glass onto a fixture on the bar in front of me and pressing a 'fill' button. It magically filled from the bottom upwards.

Who comes up with ideas like this??

A package I sent in April, which contained a one-of-a-kind watermelon tourmaline, rubellite, and mica specimen, was declared missing by DHL in May. I was compensated for it in June. Since it was an eBay sale, I had to give the money back to the buyer (right away, of course, because I am not a jerk), and as a result, I immediately put a "stop shipment return to sender" order on the package. I had forgotten about it entirely.

It just showed up. It had been unpacked and repacked. Thankfully, it only lost one small rubellite piece. Now, I don't know if DHL is going to ask for the insurance money back or not. Don't care. I have no idea where this little gem has been.

If they do ask for their insurance back, then tell them the 'small rubellite piece' which is missing was critical to the integrity of the piece and that as such the value of the returned item is greatly reduced.
Pick a suitable number for this reduced value such that it compensates for your time and effort dealing with DHL.

Thank you for that site; it had saved me from a ticket.

Got another one (not OK; but that's another story); still waiting for the outcome. Not my fault - cheap ink on Ausnahmegenehmigung.

So I started to fill in my UK pension form - to tell them that I want to claim a pension.

They want my UK addresses (all 35 years of them) since leaving my parents house until leaving the UK.

Or one could make up parts of it and hope they don’t check. How could they really? Insane! 😃
