KODI, seems to have taken a big down turn, most serviecs are behind a paywall now, still I guess if you pay for it then it will work.

I know a lot of British people who use https://britishtv.org/, I watched some at a friends place, the quality it good, with a hugh selection of sports, cinema and normal TV, including the BBC, I think I will go for it soon

The BBC comes in many forms, I just want the UK and reginal content, some BBC seems are dedicated to Europe or US, but I do not really want to use those, maybe I just to picky
