This is no doubt a niche question so here goes
I own a house in Germany and I recently moved abroad. Its in the process of being sold and is not rented out or sublet in my absence but it is being visited often and checked.
We have an insurance policy to cover the building against damage etc.
I'm recently told that as I have moved abroad, the insurance contract may be voided.
Is this normal?
If so, is it possible to even get insurance to cover the building in such circumstances? If there are any recommendations for companies that offer cover quickly, then I am also really interested to hear.
Thank you all!

Re: House Insurance when moving abroad
A house I'm selling is currently unoccupied and we had to tell the insurance company. So regardless of any answer here, you should inform them.
