Seaside Hotel, (a Danish series), dubbed in German. I'm happily hangin' in there w/o subtitles (not available at ARD). It's entertaining historical fiction with the parallel stories of the upper and lower classes playing out side by side. I'm hooked! It's out there in English too.

Not watching much UK stuff. VPN which is working for all my family is not working for me. I am using a different browser, just for UK stuff, so I can delete cookies etc. It is so random, as in it has not worked for 2 weeks, then suddenly last night all was dandy. Bummer.

I’m currently warching the series „München Mord“ (ZDF) on our new 48“ TV (which i love 😃). A friend turned me onto it and I’m hooked. Learning plenty of Bayerisch too. The acting, including from the recently deceased Alexander Held, is quite good IMO.

We are watching "The Big C". It's pretty good. We had been watching "House", then it jumped the shark, and I had to bail. I am also catching up on the new "Futurama" and as much "The Great North" and "Bob's Burgers" as I can without irritating my wife.

The West Wing, I’ve always wanted to watch this and now it’s streaming on Amazon or HBO. Yes, Bartlet’s administration is Democrat and it’s 20 years old, but there are similarities to today and I’m really enjoying watching how it all works and matching up the characters to the people in power today.

I’d avoided Tbe Big C for a while though did watch it recently. Funny, thought provoking and sad. I like House, especially his eccentricity. I don’t know what jumped the shark means 😊. Some later seasons just got weird and boring.

"Jumped the shark" is an idiom used to describe the exact moment a creative work, brand, or entity begins a noticeable decline in quality, abandoning its core appeal for far-fetched, over-the-top gimmicks to stay relevant.

"Man from Atlantis"; starring Patrick Duffy...
Oh my.
Plus those underwater-scenes were pretty dangerous...

I find it funny that it was from "Happy Days". I remember that one, it had gone to pot by then. I loved the early ones mid? 70s. Even my dad did, though he loathed most tv, especiallly daytime stuff. But he laughed at this when I watched Saturdays late morning. Happy days.

Now that I've watched the first 6 (of 8 episodes): Season 5 is rather weak compared to previous seasons.

Well, I just watched the last two episodes of Season five of "Clarkson's farm". Yes, they've been not as good as the previous 4 seasons, still entertaining nevertheless...

But season five ended with a bomb...

If you want to look for yourself, go ahead, it's on Amazon Prime... If you want to look somewhere else later, that's OK... But do not open the spoiler... Just saying...
Click on the red button to the right to open the spoiler concerning season five
Jeremy Clarkson was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he commented that “If this is all successful, I’ll see you for season six, and if it isn’t, I won’t”
We'll have to see...

If you're a Krimi fan you can go to the ZDF Mediathek and search eg under Inspector/Kommissar/Donna Leon, Ostfriesian, etc. Loads of series come up.
You can binge on endless episodes of Barnaby (Midsomer Murders) during the dark winter nights, amazing the number of psychopaths lurking in the thatched cottages and manor houses of village England! You can contrast that with a bit of Swedish gloom from Wallander, or go to der Irland Krimi for the less picturesque view of Galway. There's a good few of the Shetland series for a bit more rain and wind.
If all the German gets exhausting, I go to Youtube where there are lots of Inspector Morses/Wexfords/Frosts to indulge in. Or rewatch Barnaby to finally figure out why whodunnit actually dunnit ...

Hah just read this. Brilliant.

I haven't watched anything new in a while as I don't have time to concentrate on something without also doing something else (like working, cleaning, etc.). I rewatch stuff like Curb, Elementary, Father Ted, Lead Balloon, Would I lie to You, etc. Just watched the Fifth Element again. Can't beat it.

Last new thing I watched was... Umbrella Academy? It was interesting for a while, but glad it's over. Oh, and Bodkin. Wasn't bad.
