Could not really find a Health topic here on hTTi, so thought I would put it here, maybe the editor might make a health topic here.

Seems like you can avoid dementia, by avoiding high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking, since there seems to be a few older people on this site, it might be of interest.

Thank god, they do not list alcohol abuse as a factor :) :)

"Heavy and long-term alcohol use can directly and indirectly cause a specific type of brain damage known as alcohol-related dementia or alcohol-related brain injury. Drinking too much shrinks memory areas in the brain, damages nerve cells, and leads to low vitamin levels.

Unlike Alzheimer's disease, alcohol-related cognitive damage does not always get worse if you stop drinking completely and eat a healthy diet."

So that's what happened to my memory. :o

The topic "Miscellaneous themes/Health" is created.

Please be aware that two topics in "Miscellaneous themes" are still missing some catchy description. Suggestions are welcome.

Hope that helps.
