Does anybody here have a specific E-Reader to recommend? I am considering the TOLINO Vision Color. I'm gonna look at it again at my local Osiander shop. Is that crazy? I'ld really enjoy hearing your experience and perspective on this.

I currently hava a Kobo which is nice. I've had Tolino before with no issues. Not sure why you want/need color. I've never had a color one. I only read regular books. Not sure about now but, back in the day, the color ones used up more battery.

I don't need color. I like the big format. But the Tolino Epos has crappy reviews for battery life. I am gonna keep chewin' on it before I take a plunge. I don't want a Kindle.

Of course, but if the screen size is small and the font is big I'll be turning the page nonstop, like on a smartphone.

I can actually read books on my iPad, but an E-Reader mimics the physical book experience better and supposedly strains the eyes far less. I am far-sighted

and life is much better when I can reduce eye strain AMAP during close up work. I have special customized (€€€) eyeglasses too from a German firm. They do eyeglasses well here.

You don't actually turn pages. Tap screen or mine also has buttons and I keep my thumb on one for easy turning.
I had to read a book on his iPad once. Hated it. Too big and heavy. Phone much too small for me to do anything with.

Some years ago, I bought a kindle; because I thought an e-reader is a cool thing that I need.
After a few days, I came to the conclusion that I am not an e-reader guy.
I am OK with a tablet for some jobs; I am OK with a real book for some jobs.
But the E-reader solves problems that I do not actually have. So I wasted money on a gadget I do not actually need.
Your mileage definitely will vary, but - before spending money - ask somebody to loan you an E-reader over the weekend and try it out; And then decide if an E-reader is your thing anyway (apart from deciding what brand does the job, that is just the next step).

Good suggestion! It's also interesting how one can fall into discovering something works, or doesn't work. For years I had a regular sized iPad and thought it was the cat's meow. Then 2 years ago while in the US I really wanted to buy an iPad mini. I became a convert overnight.

So I finally gave someone in my family the regular sized one after it sat in a drawer for a year. We were both very happy.
