This is really irritating me!!!

So, after a 10-hour working day, I finally came home, jumped in the bath and got all cleaned up and "normal" again, and sat down for a little "entertainment" on the TT website.
Then things started to rumble around outside and it sounded like the world was about to come to an end......
.............. turns out that Farmer Giles has decided it´s a good time to cut the grass in his field just behind the house, has his floodlights on full blast and is trundling up and down the field!!!
It´s bloody annoying, and at a time of day where I would normally be in bed already!

One could almost think he does this sort of thing just to annoy people.....!

I don’t know much about farming stuff though in the last few weeks, I’ve seen some posts on local FB forums from nice farmers apologising for imminent noise from mowing, harvesting etc. Even on Sundays. Of the posts I’ve seen, the out of the ordinary times are due to the farmers contracting drone specialists to check beforehand if there are young deer in the area before mowing etc.It seems that drones have helped a lot to prevent deer being killed. I don’t know, maybe that’s a reason?

Oh Emkay, it sounds like you live in an area with "normal" people who farm - this here is totally a farming community, with very little interest in other people and how they are affected by what they do!
The house I live in here was built in the ´70s, and has been lived in by the family who originally built it all this time - and is still not recognised as being a "proper" part of town!!!
Glad to say though, that our family of 7 deer has moved back into the woods since the field next to the one I wrote about got mown. they are all safe!
