Hello! I am happy to see that TT is still active, and has a new home forum. Thank you to the admins and the community for that! :D

I am looking for a 1 or 2 room flat starting in September or October with a long-term contract.
Does anyone here, or maybe someone you know, have an flat or a room for rent on an U-bahn line in Munich? I'm registered with online WG and Immo sites, but haven't found an affordable (500 - 600 EUR) flat yet.

Kind regards,
WT

The chances of accidentally stepping into rocking horse poo in the center of Munich is higher than finding a flat in the center of Munich for that price.

I have a friend who sometimes rents a room but I think only to other women. Care to say if you are male/female/somewhere-in-between?

Scientists announced the discovery of a large void above the Grand Gallery of the Khufu Pyramid (Cheops Pyramid). A wonder in Egypt! 2800€/month (cold) in Munich!

To be honest, house-hunting here is more a matter of who you know, and who has contact to somebody who might have......

Curious to see where the OP ends up!!!

Yes, all jokes aside, I am actively crossing fingers for the OP, but Munich is a f*cking tough place when it comes to renting a place and your budget is limited...

I think there may be rooms available within her budget.

We rent a studio for under €600 but that is only because we don't raise the rent on our very good renter. When he moves, it will go up.

Sorry to say, I just cannot see anybody getting a flat at that price, near the center of Munich.
Sorry to say Munich has grown at lot in population and reputation, hence the price as well.

Yep.... I was paying 1800 DM for a 1 bedroom place miles out of the centre way back in 1998 so I dread to think what prices are like now.

Actually, we rent a fully updated 24 sq. meter studio in Munich for under $600 including Nebenkosten. It is currently rented, of course. When the renter moves out, we will jack up the price a little but not much. It has a separate kitchen with window and a nice size balcony.

Is that for 1 or 2 persons?
