tax rebate for dental expenses

Next year paying 5keur at the dentist.
This is something I can partly claim back in my Steuererklaerung, right?
Is there some minimum limit, so if the yearly health care expenses is below some threshold, one can claim nothing...?
I would like to avoid that, maybe because I pay half one year, and the other half the following year, I lose out tax-wise....
Thank you,

This is an "außergewöhnliche Belastung" (= extraordinary burden) and you claim for it in the section "Krankheitskosten" of the "Anlage Außergewöhnliche Belastungen":

Please read this article:

You have to bear the first x% of your family's total yearly income from all sources (= gross salary + worldwide capital income + worldwide rental profit + and so on) out of your own pocket, they do not "count", this is called the "zumutbare Belastung" (= bearable burden).
Only amounts that
exceed this "bearable burden" will lower your taxable income.

You can calculate how much of your dental expenses "will not count" with this online calculator:
https://www.finanzamt.bayern.de/Informa ... efault.php
For example, if you had dental expenses of 5,000€ in 2024 and your and your spouse's total 2024 income is 100,000€ and you have one child, you get a "bearable burden" of 3,335€, i.e. only 1,665€ of these 5,000€ will "count":
