Number blocking on Festnetz

Right then, is it even possible?

I have a Fritz Box 7590 and a Telekom Gigaset T480HX phone. Is there a means in which to block in-coming phone numbers? I've looked through the phone settings but seem unable to find anything.

Ideas or experience on this?

My ancient Panasonic gives options to block numbers. Most of the calls I get are spammy shite. Really, over 90 percent. I just leave answerphone on. But I guess for you that is trickier, as customers might be put off.

I found this on Amazon for your phone -
Customisable setting: with the day-night mode you can set when you are reachable - see who is calling, select contacts directly or block annoying callers with the touch of a button.
So seems it is possible. The question being which button. Do you have a manual for the phone?

Here's one. Look at page 36.

Instructions here:

What's good is that you can set up either a simple number block, a range of numbers or a block for unknown callers etc.
You can even make a telephone book and block all the numbers in it - that way if there is a new number you want to block, just add it to that telephone book and it will be automatically blocked.

On a side note, I can heartily recommend the FritzFon C6.
Works flawlessly with the Fritzbox and gives you easy access to the phone books.

No, I want to block the bloody spam callers I get. A few are the same annoying feckers and the ability to block them would be soooo nice. :D

Select 1 then 2 then 3.

Look at the green marked area. I blocked all of Slowakia and one specific w*nker.

Just as an example.

So that's why I can't ring you any longer....

...cause I live in Slowakia! Of course.

I do understand that. But a lot of spammers I get calling manage to spoof and their number looks German. I have blocked loads and they tend then to try again with a similar number. Anyway, hope it works.

I won't block a number until I've done my due diligence.

Often the phone in the shop rings, I answer and there is there awkward pause. Then a telemarket-eer answers, I ring off. As these arses refuse to give in, I want to block them.
