Darn. Well, anyone recall the name of that Irish cellar bar on Ludwigstr. at Odeonsplatz in Munich? I could have looked it up at TT, but ...
What was the name of the bar...

Hmm...no that's at the Frauenkirche. There was a different one at Odeonsplatz a longish while ago.

There's The Shamrock between Odeon's Platz and Münchener Freheit in Trautenwolfstraße.

How longish? I'm not aware of one there in 33 years.
Are you perhaps talking about Sendlinger Tor?

There are two bars in a cellar behind the Frauenkirche, been there for decades, Ned Kelly's Aussie experience and Kilian's Irish Pub https://kiliansirishpub.de/ (Great Burgers and Fish & Chips and India Pale Ale)

Oh thanks for that list. O'Reillys sticks out in my mind. That was a cellar bar right? Stairs straight down from the door, arches on the inside? Guess I got the location wrong, though I really had it in my mind there was something there near-ish to the Film Casino at Odeansplatz.

Chipping in late, and as a long term Munich resident.
I thought O'Reillys, immediately, but that closed a very long time ago. yes u went down in to the keller to gain access to it and was quite big on the inside.
I have never know an Irish bar near the Odeonsplatz, because there was never one there.
Also, the Dubliner is now just ( almost ) opposite the hofbrauhaus, Platzl https://www.dubliner-irishpub.de/
Also, the list is missing https://www.kennedysmunich.de/, which is a large Irish bar.
