OK, I'll try my best to convey... Sometimes when something is wrong with a car, you have to get access to the engine from underneath, which can be tricky if you're a decent DIY guy but do not have access to a car lift or a car pit...

That's why one can buy such neat "DIY makeshift ramps" for little money (in this example they are red) at Walmart (or whereever) to drive the car up onto, so that you have "clearance" (front wheels up in the air) under the engine and one can do the job from underneath... Great gadgets for a low price.

Of course, this fails if you are too stupid to drive up onto those special "DIY makeshift ramps" slowly... What I mean, do not rev' the engine, definitely not...

Otherwise, you'll end up like shown in this video ...

Thanks. I knew about the ramp but I didn't see a driver in the car. Now I looked closely and see her.

She who used ramps to change her U joints, grease under the car and such when she was much younger. Good ramps, though. Single ones.

ETA - My ex husband said he fell in love with me when I asked to borrow his ramps and garage to change my U joint. He was not a mechanic. That was at his house. He was more impressed when I chocked the wheels so it couldn't roll off of the ramps.

Oh what a day that was today... Finally, taking my shoes off and sipping on an ice cold beer...
