It’s been snowing here on the Bodensee, and it’s often slushy as the temperature fluctuates and melting goes on. That’s caused many of us to walk and ride the bus everywhere rather than go by bike. Even so, it’s been a refreshing change that I’m happy to experience. Snow will always be magical for this New Orleans girl who didn’t see snow until moving to Chicago at age 21.

Its sonowing here in southern Schleswig-Holstein.

I had to drive my wife to a Dr appointment this morning (she had to wait just under 2 hours
despite having an appointment for 9:45 & being there in time. All she wanted was
a repeat prescription ...

Anyhow the roads were most interesting.

Also snowing in Munich. I was taken aback when the pilot announced the temp in Munich was -7° before we landed. Looked at my neighbor and we both said the F word at the same time. Perfect stranger.

F as in "what's that in Fahrenheit?", I have to assume...

Down here it rained a lot in the night, but the temps are well above freezing, The sun pops in and out, and so just about all the snow and mush on the city streets is now clear and clean. It’s a dramatic change from 24 hours ago. It’s raining still in little bursts and fits. We’re all just SO grateful to have escaped the dreaded rain-freeze-slippery ice cycle, for the moment at least. :D

It's snowing in Salzgitter for sure. I shoveled this morning. Was maybe 20cm thick but windy so in some areas you have more. I got the bus into town today and the bus driver said they stopped driving to Braunschweig because the bus got stuck. Apparently the train isn't running either but they have a bit more snow than we do.
