We used jitsi to conduct our monthly book club meetings during covid.

I hope John will return here to the happy place soon.

When we were skyping yesterday, we had of course been talking in English.
Which puzzled John's roommate, John sent me this Skype message after our video call:

My 88 year old " room mate " here heard our conversation and asked me where I had learnt English.
Suess!!!

So today, we switched to French

john g. is going home today!

They made him promise to take his medication, to find a cardiologist, and of course to come back once they have decided whether they really want to fit him with a pacemaker, but he's getting out of that hospital that he has been a prisoner of for the last 2 weeks.

He just told me he spent hours fantasizing what he would cook once he's out, and now he can

OMG, John hopefully is fully recovered now. Have sent him a skype message.

I don't know anything more than you do.
He was online in Skype 4 hours ago, so I assume he is recuperating at home and will reply when he's good and ready.

I wish he would just post here and keep us all updated. Seems easier.

He just replied by Skype message:
John's ok, getting pampered by Nicole and getting consultations from a cardiologist

John is OK! He just answered!
He’s home, taking very short walks with the dogs and Nicole, and making up his mind about further procedures .
John sends his love to new TT and hopes to be posting again next week.

Phew. I would have missed the old codger.

Very glad he’s back in Germany near decent hospitals.

Absolutely! It was a wise decision moving back here from Crete when they did.

John is home and recovering nicely, taking walks with the dog - and then Nicole fell sick and was hospitalized . Am in contact with John, who gave me permission to post about this.
It’s basically a heart issue (did you break it John, you naughty bastard!!), so she’ll return home soon!

Have sent messages and picture to John. I think John still can be reached by Skype, I do that, too!

John is holding up well.
No news on his Nicole, further diagnostics not before the end of the week at best.
