One firm I worked at organised a Weihnachtsfeier where you could spend time with people you already know (unfortunately) very thoroughly, although it could have been interesting to meet people in other departments

The small group I "belonged" to had a celebration. I was not invited, racism? I would not have attended, what, voluntarily spend time with other team members?
