Counselling and KK

Post by kiplette »

We know some people in need of marriage guidance counselling.

They are first language English, but both work in a German context so the language is not absolutely critical.

Anyone have experience of finding this service in Germany? Is it the sort of thing a KK funds?

My googling doesn't look very hopeful, but I have heard mention of it being possible, so I'm hoping I missed a thing.

We did this several years ago and had to pay ourselves. Not sure how it works now. It was well worth it, though.

They could start by making contact with your local Familienberatungsstelle (local Kreis website will have a link), they would also give help and contacts for more specific therapy. The Familienberatungsstelle is good and free. As is suchtberatung for family members....it's been a tough year.

Thank you chaps, really good to have some personal stories - I just hope both parties in the situation get involved.

Sorry your family has had need of the Beratung in the last year, dstanners, I hope the situation improves.
