Does anyone else find certain German words annoying for no particular reason? I really dislike lecker = yummy/tastes good. Stromfresser = high electricity consumption appliance. Many others that I can’t recall just now

Well open translate.toytown.ing, and make sure that it says "German" to the left and "English" to the right:

I find neither of the words to sound irritating, to be honest. But maybe that is just me.

"Unfug" was often used by moms at the Spielplatz in Steglitz in West Berlin when I lived there in 1986-88. I still can't say it without thinking about how I'm gonna manage not to mess it up and say "unf***"!
