Deportation flyers/tickets in the mailboxes
The AfD put deportation flyers/tickets in the mailboxes of people with foreign names in Karlsruher. This is similar to what NPD did in the past. I normally don't fall into saying that every AfD voter is a Nazi, I understand that some of them are just frustrated with the current situation, but deportation tickets is already very difficult to defend and I can't see how this can be accepted.

Sounds very dodgy and possibly on the edge of what could be construed as legal (hetzerei?). I have a feeling this election run up is going to get nasty in DE. I've not missed being in the UK for the last few elections but we could have similar behaviour in Germany over the next 6 weeks or so.

Re: Deportation flyers/tickets in the mailboxes
Are there any links to/photos of these flyers?
What would the AfD achieve by putting these flyers in the letterboxes of people with foreign names?
Putting them in potential voter's letterboxes could be argued to make some sense... but this?
Very fishy....

How "here is your deportation ticket" would make sense for potential voters? How "we want to deport YOU" make sense for people who might vote for them?

Abschiebeticket. Pasenger is "Illegaar Einwanderer". Destination "Sichereres Herkunftsland" ZDF Link has a good photo of one. https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten/politik/ ... n-100.html

If you can vote in Germany, if you are German. If you are German, you cannot be illegaly on German soil.
While this is bullshit what the AFD is doing here, the press makes even more bullshit out of it.
It is the current law, that people being illegal in Germany have to leave. It is just the question how thorougly this is enforced.

Re: Deportation flyers/tickets in the mailboxes
I simply have doubt that they selectively put those into mailboxes with foreign names. Those flyer distributors put their sh!t in every mailbox; as soon as their batch is gone, it is Feierabend.
The NPDs motive years ago was to scare the shit out of people.
The AFDs motive is to get votes.

Exactly, it's to get votes by saying they will enforce the current laws.Franklan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:25 pmI simply have doubt that they selectively put those into mailboxes with foreign names. Painting it as some kind of scare campaign against people with foreign names is disingenuous.

This is how the "Guradian" is reporting on it
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/ ... immigrants
The page says,
The AfD MP Marc Bernhard, from Karlsruhe, told the public broadcaster SWR that 30,000 of the flyers had been printed and that they had been distributed at election campaign stands as well as dropped in residential mailboxes. He denied those with “foreign-sounding names” had been targeted, as well as any connection with the decade-old NPD campaign.
ie it was not targeted to immigrants, just the general public, which makes more sense to me, as thats who the Afd want to get to vote for them.

Re: Deportation flyers/tickets in the mailboxes
My post vanished, must have done something stupid.
The fact that the right wing block in the EU (Meloni and Le Pen) kicked out the AfD is telling. This was caused by some section of the AfD talking of kicking out assimilated Turks, with jobs, etc. One recent poll was interesting. Even most AfD voters said that Syrians who had come and learned German, had good jobs should be allowed to stay.
The new campaign in KA is ostensibly about kicking out migrants and asylum seekers who come from "safe" countries.

Yes, that's what they say.Even most AfD voters said that Syrians who had come and learned German, had good jobs should be allowed to stay.
Trump voters swear they aren't racists.
I believe nothing.

You can't really believe the world is so black and white?
Surely?
