We bought an old house (+ old garage, maybe 50yr old), demolished the house and built a new one. But we kept the old garage as it was.
When the bank woman came along to make sure the newly built house was indeed as we told them, she also insisted on me giving her details of the garage, which I didn't have and never cared about. Her attitude was like "I also couldn't care less, but my employer insists on having these numbers, so you must give them to me". So I made up some numbers there and then, she had zero interest in even asking herself if these numbers made sense or not. Everybody happy.
