Went down a bit of a rabbit hole the other day when reading about conspiracy theories and believe you me there are many absolute batshit crazy ones out there.
Yet I can´t help thinking that the Flat Earth one is probably the craziest there is. Normally you can´t disprove a conspiracy theory because you can´t prove a negative but there is so much proof out there that the Earth is not flat yet despite the overwhelming evidence against the flat earth theory 1000s (if not 100s of thousands) of people do solemnly believe that the Earth is flat and that all the evidence against it is fake.
Craziest would be the theory that Finland doesn´t exist but the starter of this theory admitted it was started as a joke to show how gullible some people are yet some people now solemnly believe it. There´s also one that Bielefeld doesn´t exist but also this was started as a joke.
Lizard people, moon landing fake, that there is a whole society of aliens living inside the Earths core, Covid was fake and the vaccine contained a chip to let the NWO control you through 5G, there are so many absolutely crazy theories it does make you despair a bit.
