Re: What made you smile today? :)
made me smile in an ironic means.....
returned home from the bakery. As usual the Semmel were in a paperbag, placed atop the kitchen counter while getting ready for the day. I opened the fridge and placed things in and took things out. I suddenly realised the Semmel paperbag was still on the counter. Heh? I opened the fridge door and saw that I had placed another paperbag in the fridge that I had just filled with....Biomüll.
Aye, made me smile.

The weather here feels like what I imagine to be a rapid cycling manic depressive episode. This helps. Gotta love Robin Williams.

Voyager1 which is currently 22.5 light hours from us has been sending gibberish from the last 5 months.
It's just comeback online. Apparently the program memory has been brutalised and they have to patch the software to avoid the damaged memory
Doing this on a 46 year old space craft with a 45 hour round trip for messages is pretty awesome. It's considered to be outside the solar system because the radiation pressure from the rest of the galaxy is greater than the radiation pressure from our Sun.

First Dog on the Moon (The Guardian): Last year Voyager 1 started sending ‘gibberish code’. It was broken! In space!
