Handy SIM Card for Turkey.

Post by Bogies »

Hello Forum, no idea if this is the right place for my question. Admin will know. Have decided to fly off to Turkey for a couple of weeks and need some ideas on what SIM card to use when out of the hotel WLAN range instead of my O2 SIM, which has pretty steep roaming charges. Any travellers, with any ideas?

If your phone supports eSIM, we just went to Turkey last week and I used an eSIM from maya.net and have zero complains. Hotspot was allowed.

My Turkish friend uses Airalo, but I think it's only data; you don't get a Turkish number.

Airalo is mostly data, it's true, but if you need to call when not on Wifi you could use WhatsApp or Skype (for a short call, at any rate)

You could buy a prepaid sim card for Turkey for 10 days or 30 days, etc.

That's what I do when I travel to the U.S. I just looked on amazon.de and they have them for Turkey. My phone takes dual sim cards.
