Argentina just defended the entire time. Nothing else. Was pretty dull.

Their goalie was the reason the score from Spain wasn't higher. He made some amazing 11 saves!

I was waiting for Trump and his buddy, Infantino, to cancel Fernandez's red card.

What a final that was! Didn't expect a 1-0 grind to end up being that tense, but Ferran Torres popping up in extra time summed up Spain's whole tournament really — clinical when it mattered, barely conceded a thing all the way through. Second star for them since 2010.

Felt for Messi though. Eight goals and four assists at this stage of his career is still ridiculous, and if that really was his last World Cup it's a hell of a way to bow out even in defeat. Argentina fell one game short of back-to-back titles, which nobody's managed since Brazil in the 60s.

Anyone here actually make it out to the US for any of the group stage games, or was everyone watching from a Biergarten like me? 😄 Curious how the atmosphere compared to Qatar for those who caught both.

Welcome to this forum. You are...

1.) Accessing from India, Mumbai to be specific.
2.) You claim to have been sitting in a beer garden during that match. That would have been in the middle of the night (based on Mumbai’s time zone).
3.) Your very first post on this forum contains a footer with a sales pitch.

Feel free to write something in the Member introduction section to make your intentions clear.

This looks like the second attempt for the same team to get into the site as genuine users :-)
