Hello all,
I've received a message about a Rechnungsabschluss from my bank. As far as I can make it, the message means that I'll be charged income tax on the account balance. Is that correct? I thought at first that the bank was paying me interest, but there is no transaction matching that description.
Thanks,
Alison

Re: Rechnungsabschluss
A Rechnungsabschluß, at least with one of my banks (VR), comes at the end of every month.
It is the amount that the bank is charging you for the transactions you have made during that month, and should be available to read in the "small-print" you have agreed to with your bank.
Not all banks charge for every transaction, some have a standard monthly fee, and some simply do not charge at all.
If you are not happy with paying, I would suggest you take your time and do some research into which bank would best meet your requirements.
