Does the ING ETF Sparplan require Vorabpauschale payments? Or is that somehow different to a normal ETF? Or am I misunderstanding the whole Vorabpauschale thing?

First off, this is the wrong thread to ask this question, this thread is about the Riester-Rente which is something else entirely.

A Sparplan is just you buying a few ETF shares every month, which then get put into your Depot (brokerage account), so all the word "Sparplan" indicates is how you buy the ETF shares, it doesn't change their taxation.

So yes, if the ETF went up in value during the past year and if it didn't distribute enough, you end up having to pay tax on the "fictive profit" called Vorabpauschale.
