What I remember is the Versandtasche. However, none of the Post branches in Rewe and the like have such things. I hope what I sent was okay. I guess I'll know soon enough. It was my passport renewal, so if it busts wide open, I am in a spot.

But that is even weirder, like the small padded yellow ones? I bought some last week. They also have corrugated cardboards not yellow ones. Anyway, hope whatever you used works.

The Consulate website says no padded or corrugated envelopes, just paper or light cardboard that isn't easily torn. I had to use what was there that I could buy. Here's hoping.

As a big fan of Top Gear, I was flummoxed to find new car material with Jeremy Clarkson on Youtube.

(Youtube doesn't allow to embed this video, so click on "Watch on YouTube"to see it)

It took me a while to realize that this is not really Jeremy Clarkson, but an AI generated voice that sounds like Jermey Clarkson.

Frightening, really.

Flumoxxed by people being blase about having right of way at junctions. Yes, right before left. We all know that (I hope!) But the sheer stupidity of not doing a quick glance all round. I was walking towards a junction today. I could hear screaming sirens very close by. I could also see an lovely old style Merc approaching the junction and thought the worst. His entrance into the crossroads coincided exactly with fire engine. He must have been deaf, really deaf. I saw him dilligently looking to the right, and pulling out in front of the fire engine on his left. Which fortunately stopped.
