I think your advisor is right

Buying index funds is a long term game.

On average you make 7 % a year

But you can lose lots in short term, just keep thing about the long term, if we live that long

Seriously, the markets went up far to much in the last years and now I expect lower performance for the next couple of years, hope not a crash

Thanks for pointing this out. I was actually already very well aware of everybody's recommendation NOT to check the portfolio too frequently.
Yet I check it many times every day. More because I'm a data nerd, rather than I care about finances.
Perhaps I should stop....

It's difficult, especially with crypto where it can easily swing 5% in a matter of minutes. :lol:

it may well be difficult not to keep monitoring often, but that's not the reason I continue doing it.

Huge gain yesterday, 1.5%.
The last 1 week I'm up 0.6%, though the last 1 month I'm down 0.4%.
This game is fun.
