Anyone have an opinion on R+V Versicherung?

I have a Girokonto at Volksbank, so I could get a discount on insurance through R+V Versicherung. Does anyone have experience with them?

You haven't specified what insurance you're looking for, so that is a tough question to answer.

Consider "liability insurance" (Haftpflichtversicherung) and "household insurance" (Hausratversicherung) a must. In addition, a "occupation disability insurance" (Berufsunfähigkeitsversicherung) and "legal costs insurance" (Rechtschutzversicherung) might be wise.

You certainly already have a "health insurance" (Krankenversicherung), contemplate to have an additional "dental costs insurance" (Zahnzusatzversicherung).

Hint: Have the health insurance and the dental insurance at the same place. Combine the other insurances at on provider, but not the "legal costs insurance", have that somewhere else*...

*: Because the small printed of those "legal costs insurances" usually say that you cannot use it against the provider. So if you ever feel the urge to sue your "household insurance" and it is the same provider as the "legal costs insurance", your hosed...

So far I have no insurance whatever. My Arbeitserlaubnis should issue on 14/4, so after that I will start my new job and will need to specify a Krankenkasse, if I have understood correctly.
