Indeed. That‘s many jobs. I read it will happen in a socially acceptable manner. Also, other German companies will shed many jobs like ThyssenKrupp. That‘s worrying.
On the other hand, I‘m a tax payer and tired of bailing out the German car industry. Remember Abwrackprämie and the endless Kurzarbeit? All paid for by tax payers.
I don‘t own a car for 20 years and I‘m happy about it. I don‘t need to worry about TüV or finding a parking place, winter tyres, maintenance, etc. Far too many cars in Munich as well.
