Re: The Weather

I'm actually a huge fan of the Dead Weather . Just to keep the thread on topic. ;) It's four of my favourite musicians who get the chance to do things they normally wouldn't be able to do within their normal band structures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFFHntutRsg&list=RDLFFHntutRsg&star...

No 78-year-old woman deserves to die a violent death.

Re: tipping etiquette

I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about tipping in Germany? Plus, it depends upon where your're eating. Urban or countryside. Or somewhere in between. I base everything on my Holy Trinity: Quality of Food + Service + Ambience. But they're all interchangeable. If the food is just refuel...

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?

Someone gave details about this. Something along the lines that it was easy early on to complete the ETA application and avoid mentiontiong you were a dual UK citizen as it was not provided as an option in the drop down list of nationalities to choose from. So you did not have to lie. But this has ...

Was it an actual question on the earky ones?

I've never applied so wouldn't know. Mrs Chelski (German) doesn't remember either.

Or do we now know/think it will be applied to future ones?

Re: What Made You Laugh Today

Driving from work to home, I always skirt around the edge of the car dealerships which are all grouped together as I come into town. Apparently, the Cloppenburg BMW/Mini dealership has now transferred to new owners... Screenshot_20260326_154512_Chrome.jpg I laughed so much I nearly hit the car in fr...

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?

He has an expired UK passport and a valid German passport with a valid ETA. So the ETA is valid for two years after (date of issue) standing up embarrassingly up against a blank wall taking selfies. Maybe its because he is using an already issued ETA from 2025? Spot on. Maybe the next time he wants...

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?

Which makes the Irish passport the most powerful passport in Europe, and very close to the most powerful passport in the world. Indeed. We could be running the World better than any President, Prime Minister, or Dictator, if we put our minds to it. But we're always happy to just enjoy the craic, an...

Interesting back and forth.

Which is cool. Verbal discourse is the whole basis of politics.

But, I understand nothing, except the fact that Donald Trump is a malignant narcissist with a cat on his head.

YMMV.
