AW was many things, but people are too hard on her. She was very much free speech. And (despite her objections to gay marriage) had many gay friends and supported them when they were struggling during Operation Midland.

TBF I remember English snobs always called it Soccer because to them Rugger was always the real football. It was a real class divider when I was young.(I am old)

Whatever the actual problem is, lowering the water temperature is a good idea. 55 is supposed to be ok re avoiding Legionella, though in summer I go lower, as our system is very small. I very occasionally want a hot bath, so just whack it up

Old style Bic lighters are find for lighting gas! Or paper if you persevere. And batteries, sure only unused ones should be kept but it took me well over 10 years to get my family into this.

I had identical email cancellation about 10 days ago, for appointment that should have been yesterday. But they rang yesterday and said they would be round in 30 minutes. Which they were. I happened to be home.

He does recommend a modern Beko double (or better triple) filtered heat pump dryer. And clean the filters weekly. Beko supply spare parts and instructions which many rival companies do not.

It depends. I took stuff from my parents after they died. 1700s oak chest, passed down from Scotland 1800s brass candelsticks, solid wood chest of drawers, etc. Paintings/drawings. My mother always said what they were.
