Re: Legal cost[s] cover[ed] by insura[n]ce?
It is not my fault, or course. Because I'm in the front.

Re: Legal cost[s] cover[ed] by insura[n]ce?
The thing is that the police cannot decide who make the mistake, that my car collide with another car on the slope (my car is on rear and have no damage, the other car damage cost ~4000). Therefore it has to be decided by the court. At first the insurance company asked if I would like to proceed for...

Legal cost[s] cover[ed] by insura[n]ce?
I'm in a legal dispute after the car accident. I'm confident that I will win the case. In that case, the other party will have to pay the legal fee. But in the worst case, if I lose, will the insurance company pass down the legal cost to me? That does not count the fact that I will have to pay more ...

Re: buying house with credit
Thank you all for your information. Put everything aside. How does the mortgage work in Germany? Initial term is 10 years. After that, a new contract will be made based on remaining loan and new interest. We can also pay off the mortgage at that time, providing sufficient capital, right?

Re: buying house with credit
I received two offers from the bank, see files. They all separate the financing into two: the first is the bank and the second is KfW. What I'm surprised is that the interest rate of KfW is even higher than the bank and the time is also longer (~35 years, no sondertilgung), which contradicts with wh...

buying house with credit
I am planning to buy a house (near Hamburg) which costs 300k. My capital is 20k, and the monthly income is ~3k. Most of the offer I received is ~4% yearly interest and ~30 years of repayment. Is it a good time to buy house in Germany? The interest will be re-adjusted after 10 years but paying the fi...

Jahressonderzahlung if contract expires beforehand
In the company I'm working which is public-based there is an annual special payment and if the people are employed at 1/12 of the year they will receive a Jahressonderzahlung. But my contract ends on 30/9 I wonder if I still can receive it based on the pro-rata basis. I checked with the HR and they ...

Cancellation of health insurance
I will move to UK for work. I contacted my health insurance company to cancel the contract. They said they also need the deregistration paper (Abmeldung beim Einwohnermeldeamt). I do not get this. If I deregister, my address will be gone. But I'm still coming back to the place here and then.

Birth certificate with Elterngeld on it
I sent the application for Elterngeld with the specific birth certificate (Geburtsurkunde). This certificate is exclusively for Elterngeld application since it has the word "for Elterngeld" on it. For some reason, the document did not arrive so I lost this certificate. Now I apply it again...

registering two cars
A friend asked my help to register his car, so he can drive it on the road. I would like to understand the consequences: + financially do I have to pay additional tax or anything else for owning a second car? + if he is caught by the police, and he is not the owner. Will the police call me? + if he ...

Re: Pension insurance
Thanks @PandaMunich for the useful information. You are telling that ETF is more effective than the Rurup pension plan in the long term, right? I think I trust you since I do not know the hidden costs of these insurers. There are many of them and seems that they are all scams. Talking about ETF, I n...

Pension insurance
Hey, I'm planning to buy a private pension insurance to prepare for my retirement. Since I'm from a country which does not have good concept on social security, I'm not familiar with this topic except the mandatory one. Do you have suggestion which I should buy?
