By the way, the UK is talking about means testing the UK state pension, if they do that, depending on your pension income, you might get a reduced or no UK state pension, after having made all the payments I'm sure this will happen at some point but if we can claim the payments back in the German t...

I know you can claim NI Class 3 contributions for the UK pension in your German taxes but does this also apply for back payments for previous years? No, the UK didn't have a central residence register, at least when I lived there. To get a credit anywhere, I needed to show 3 different 'official' bills to prove I live at a certain address...eg a gas, phone and elec bill. Thanks for the info. I didn't realise you could book the trips on other sites than Eurostar itself. I haven't used the Eurostar since before covid but may be later this year so will compare the sites when I come to book.
