Re: Family reunification with EU nationals through son in law

We already call tkk and they told us they can take them and sent us the papers to fill. The main doubt is about this 6 months. I believe it's 6 months total in a year. My (stubborn) wife keep believing that it's just they don't have to stay out of Germany 6 months in a row because the lady at the Au...

Re: Family reunification with EU nationals through son in law

My Wife always got the right to reside in Germany through normal residency application (and job) and not because she married me a pair of years ago. She got, on my contrary, also the German citizenship. This residence permit is something that comes from EU regulation in someway. She, as German Citiz...

Family reunification with EU nationals through son in law

We are applying for an EU residence permit (probably the word is not correct) for the parent of my Wife. They are extra EU citizen. Apparently they can get a (i guess yearly) residence permit through me, being me an EU citizen with proven mobility in the EU. In other words I moved to another EU coun...

Re: New (recalculated) land tax

I am reading several article where basically they say to just context the new property value calculation if the increase is more than 50%. If the current base values for the GS calculation were based on valus of 60-90 years ago I can'T believe how i could win a case if I contest an increase of "...

Deadline for resubmitting Steuererklärung for year 2022

I want to submit again the Steuererklärung 2020 in order to add the invoices paid in 2022 for a Bathroom creation in my Dachgeschosse. It has been a project that spanned from end 2022 till summer 2023. Some invoice has been paid on end of 2022. I googled a bit and it looks like that if the change is...

Re: Hausarzt: some of them have "dr." in front of the name, some not

I guess all the confusion for me came from the fact that in Italy, where I come from, you just need to complete your university studies in medicine to be called "Doctor". In the last year actually in order to practice as an Hausartz a degree in medicine is not enough and you have to do an ...

So that Dr is the title that comes from completing a PhD?
Never thought about PhD for medicine unless you are a "researcher".

Hausarzt: some of them have "dr." in front of the name, some not

What is the difference ?
In an Haushartz studio I go the husband is Dr. blabla, the wife is Frau blabla. Why she is not Dr. Blabla.
Surfing across website of other Praxis I see this mix of Dr. and not Dr.

Re: buying house with credit

If you think the rates will decrease in the next years then you can opt for a 5 years fixed mortgage. This is crystal ball stuff or we'd all be rich, oder? No, it is risk calculation based on information gathering. Trend now is to lower again the rates or at least keeping them unchanged because the...

Re: buying house with credit

Consider that for the first time in many years, since at least one year, the real estate market experienced a drop of 10-15%. At least here in Bavaria. Why ? Well, because of course the rates increased. As far as I remember you can choose to have locked interested for 5, 10, 15, 20 years. If you thi...

Re: My Photovoltaikanlage

How much loss you get when the day is very hot and the panel reach an high temperature ? In my case (South oriented roof) I should get in these period of the year, between 12:30 and 14:00, my maximum (8Kwh) but when the day is hot and without wind and "fresh air", i get 6.4 Kwh / 7kWh. Aro...

Re: My Photovoltaikanlage

It is not yet a no brainer decision . - which it surely should be!!! We are all living on this planet, and have a vested interest in the planet surviving for many years to come, so, in my opinion, the use of solar energy really is the most obvious way to go - it´s "free", and you can use ...

Re: Steuererklärung: Claiming Manual work for new bathroom

Ah darn....I got it wrong then. thanks panda. As far as I know what is valid is the date when the payment of the invoice has been done, and not the date of the invoice, right ? For this bathrrom the payment was splitted across 4 invoices. One of this was in 2022 and I did not report the payment made...

Steuererklärung: Claiming Manual work for new bathroom

Past year I created a new bathroom in the Dachgeschoße. Worker needed to bring up all the pipes and all.
I googled quite a lot and looks like i can't claim back the manual work for this new bathroom. I could have claimed it back in case of renovation of an existing bathroom.
Is this correct ?

Is your wife on your insurance/vice versa, or do you both work and pay full contributions?
we both works and we both pay the maximum possible (together with our employer). Each of us pays 9500 euro per year and each time there is always something not covered or you feel you are a rank B patient.

If you don't mind me asking, Frantic, which services is she disappointed with? Private vs Public Health Insurance

I remember some interesting threads in the old forum that "scared" me and kept me far from the private health insurance. Me and my wife are not satisfied about the health system here in Germany. We both are in TKK. She want to switch to private in order to receive better service. I still t...

Re: My Photovoltaikanlage

I got the battery together with the PV System. I gathered several offers from local companies, I did not want to go with big companies that then hire sub or sub-subcontractor with the risky of no quality check and other crap. I was asking to each company an offer with and one without battery in orde...
