Re: Obligation to Report
The husband really should be told his wife is the victim of online scammers. Is there a romantic aspect to the scam? There is certainly a financial aspect which I assume concerns him unless they have separate finances. Did your wife provide any reason against telling the husband? Is she worried abou...

Re: Legalising cannabis
I considered an electric vape however I smoke only 1 or 2 times a month and a single bowl (0.1g) in my Dynavap is enough for an evening, so I decided it wasn't worth it. I never enjoyed smoking weed but vaping it is really pleasant. You can taste the flavors, you need less to get high and the vapor...

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?
You can move there and work for 5 years afaik. A friend is planning on doing just that. What is their plan after 5 years? Do they need to apply for citizenship if they want to stay? I assume after 5 years, they will have built up a life that they wouldn't want to leave behind just because the 5 yea...

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?
How do you get your UK birth-certificate when you are already overseas? In 2024 I actually ordered 2 new official notarized birth certificates online from the state office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and paid to have them sent to 🇩🇪 via registered mail. Had ‘em in two weeks. I wanted one for my Niede...

Re: UK State pension/DE DRV when divorcing
It's the court's job to perform the pension equalisation. Once your/your husband's lawyer files for divorce with the local court, the local court will send each spouse a questionnaire where you provide pension information. There is a section where you can provide your foreign pension information i.e...

James Van Der Beek, star of Dawson’s Creek, dies aged 48.
He died of Colorectal cancer at 48 after being diagnosed at 45. From my understanding Germany offer colonoscopies from age 50.

Re: Can British citizens travel to the UK using a non-British passport?
I happened to read this thread on Friday 9th Jan Well that's brilliant. Good to hear it was all so easy, and quick! Having been faffing about with all of this with kid#3, we 've checked everyone's passports and kid#2 is now out of date as well, so we'll sort that before it gets messy. A couple of q...

Probably doesn't matter considering they are visiting the UK before the new rules come into effect (25 Feb). I just applied for a new UK passport...

Question: how to know the value of said a...

Re: Living in Berlin without a drivers license
Sorry I had no idea. But taking a more difficult test in a different state being illegal is kind of funny! The other way round I get. x I also looked this up, but they wouldn't need to take a test in a different state to receive a driver's licence for that state; they would have to move to that sta...
